GAF Certified
The Certified certification signifies a higher level of expertise and experience. Contractors with the Certified certification have demonstrated a proven track record of quality work and professionalism. Homeowners can trust Certified contractors to deliver superior craftsmanship and an exceptional roofing experience.
Working with a Certified contractor opens the door to the GAF System Plus Limited Warranty, GAF's enhanced coverage tier. It extends the non-prorated coverage period to 50 years, covers the complete roofing system rather than the shingles alone, and includes the cost of installation labor, tear-off and disposal for the lifetime of the roof.
And what it doesn't cover. GAF's warranties cover manufacturing defects and, at this tier, the roofing system and the labor to fix it. They do not cover workmanship; see the Workmanship rows below, which read "No" in all three columns. Any workmanship coverage comes from your contractor directly, in writing, and we will put ours in your proposal.
To achieve the Certified certification, contractors must meet strict criteria set by GAF, including a satisfactory track record, ongoing professional training, and a commitment to using GAF roofing products exclusively. GAF ensures that only highly skilled and reputable contractors earn this certification.
GAF certified contractors are independent businesses, not employees or agents of GAF. The certification is about training and track record. The work, and the responsibility for it, is ours.
